17. What is B / M or any other qualifier before a NYSE type order?
Genesis uses several DOT lines to route orders to the NYSE and AMEX for redundancy purposes. If one line goes down, traders have access to another one. Different letters or abbreviations stand for the dot - line used. Genesis will usually recommend and/or set a default DOT line for you (the one Genesis feels with deliver the best results), but the traders can chose a different line as well. The type of orders are the same for all DOT lines

19. Where can I find the short-sell key?
Using Laser, it is not longer necessary to differentiate between short and sell orders. The software automatically checks whether the order is a sell or a short and marks it accordingly. Therefore the order must be placed as a simple sell and Laser will take care of the rest. Even in the event of placing a sell order for more shares then the corresponding long position, Laser will automatically split the order up into one sell order and one short order. For example, consider being long 500 shares of XYZ. If a sell order is placed through laser for 1,000 shares, Laser will place two orders: One sell for 500 shares and one short-sell for another 500 shares.

24. I do not have a C:\ drive on my computer, Laser doesn't install. What do I do?
We have to make a virtual C drive.
Suppose the computer only have I drive. Then do the following step by step:
i. Create a folder 'CDrive' on I drive.
ii. Then start a DOS command window and run the following command
subst c: i:\CDrive
, which will map the physical folder "i:\CDrive" onto the virtual C drive. By this moment, you must see a C Drive in the list of Windows Explorer!!!
iii. Go ahead to do the installation or whatever needed.
However, every time when computer is rebooted, the virtual drive will disappear. To expedite the work, we can put a batch file in the Startup folder to set up the virtual drive automatically. The attachment is the batchfile.
Please remove the ".txt" from the name of batchfile, so as to make the name as "CreateCDrive.bat".
